Stupid weather....

It is going to be cloudy and mild for the next three days. It actually sprinkled overnight and kind of misted this evening. The oregano stems I have hanging out on the porch are going to take forever to dry and two of them already blew off the string even though I twisted the string around them like the others. More than enough so not worried.
Lilies are starting to wrinkle and fold but still enough flowers for a good show. The jasmine around the complex is in full bloom as well and makes me smile every time.
Still tempted to start those Thornburn's tomato. Cilantro is loving the cooler weather and so is the Romaine. The tomatoes......

I have even clipped some of the smaller ones off clusters so they get bigger and keep trimming a few leaves and branches here and there. The cilantro in the south bed is doing really well thanks to the tomatillo shading it when it's sunny but is mostly shaded which is perfect for leafy things.

Can't wait for the stems to get long enough for cutting in a bunch. I forgot to toss some fertilizer in that bed the other day, will try and do that tomorrow.  You can see how the tomatillo leaves are all pointed to the sun even if it is cloudy.

The bell peppers in the west bed are growing good, hoping this weather is what they need to feel like it's spring and push a bit faster. I had to get a picture of that weed, ummm 'native plant' that's growing. I had to google lens it and I think it's a type of Cudweed. Droplets of water from the drizzle overnight were still hanging on it, you may have to zoom in on it to see the effect. Going to have to let it flower to get a positive ID on it. It's a really common plant and normally wouldn't have taken a picture of it if not for the water droplets.
I did see some damaged tomatoes but this one and another were the only thing I found. There are holes in the leaves still so rampaging invertebrates are sill there.
I saw there was still fertilizer pellets on the surface of the compost so I dug in and moved it around so it got to the roots of the plants faster. Not going to need water for a while with that thick later and the weather like it is. Oh I also saw some worms! All that new compost on top made it a lot more inviting for them to move up to the surface. I knew they were in there because the soil is basically all broken down. So glad I got as many bags as I did!

Watering was done... it's still hot

Not ragingly hot but hot enough for the AC middle of the day to sunset. Still debating on ripping everything but the oregano out for now. Y...
