A very close friend took me grocery shopping yesterday so didn't get a chance to do much. Did get out and watered and took pictures but lost track of time and never posted. The weather is continuing warm but the breeze picked up midday. Good and... still hot.
Not much different other than picked another handful of peas yesterday and used a few pods in a salad. The peas are looking more and more ragged but the pods will hopefully be ready tomorrow or the day after and I'll sacrifice the last pods pulling the plant out.
The marigolds continue to put out flowers which is nice, at least something looks good right now.
I saw a skipper butterfly land on a tomato leaf on the ground. Why mention it? Well it tells me that they are still around and maybe the flowers are bringing them in. They rely on meadows and lawns for a part of their life cycle as well, which is why I say not to completely get rid of lawns. Plant native meadow grass I thought I got a picture of it but fumbled the phone and water nozzle and failed.
This is the picture I got instead.
And what is gardening without looking on the bright side? Rainbows of my own making.
Not feeling well today, did a number on my gums eating a nectarine so in a bit of pain today, so going to finish up here.
