Not much today, still warm.

We're on a very warming trend now, deserts are going to be in the low 100's which mean we're getting in the high 80's to 90's for the next week. Despite that, the main beds were fine, I didn't bring my nozzle with me knowing it would likely be okay. No more disturbances of the soil, no bugs to report, peas are not quite ready, the only thing to take pictures of were the marigolds.

I might have to trim off the one branch that's falling over the border of that big red one. It's got a flower on it but I guess I underestimated how big the plants would get. Oh and the leaves look wilted on the peppers but fear not... read yesterdays post.

And sadly, I saw mite damage on the other tomatoes... I knew I should have taken care of those faster. I feel really bad, her bushes got mites from mine most likely.

Also oddly enough, there's no fruit on the lemon bush. At all. It flowered, I know I took pictures of them but not a single fruit to be seen on it. Something else that's depressing, wonder if the extra water earlier may have done something, or maybe a lack of food.

Who knows. Not feeling really accomplished right now due to finances so the garden is going to be on the back burner for a while until I can wrangle some free soil or plants and seeds.

It used to be that gardening was a way a family or village or farm got fresh vegetables. It was a necessity not a hobby. I had grand plans to make the soil work and have bumper crops of veggies but reality had other plans. Story of my life really but gardening is also therapeutic being able to use a shovel or other implement and whack at something. Good exercise as well if done regularly and correctly. As I said before, it used to be a necessity, a way of bringing a town/village together, further back it was a way of paying for something in barter. Boy would I still be poor in that arena!

All good things in time as they say. Waiting on the good times for sure.
