Not much new, still hot but wierd and now rain!

Last year this time I was at Comi-Con and having a blast. Budget didn't allow this year at all so it's home and gardening and staying cool.

The Canna flowers are indeed red with some vague yellow speckling close to the throat and I found a parrot feather. The parrots are coming back but not in great numbers like in the spring or winter. Still want to yell at whatever male gardener butchered the plants.

The view last night with signs of bottom rot on the tomatoes still. The one on the right is from the trellis tomato. Not good.  The ones below are from the north bed. Will be doing weekly applications of the calcium from now on.

Still bottom rot on some of the tomatoes, the cucumbers are still doing well. I still cover them just in case.

Leafminers on the leaves, which I decided to carefully break off so as not to cause any more issues. Stirred the soil around a little and left some sacrificial leaves and fruit out for any marauding bugs overnight.

I again forgot I had this open and now have to catch up. Will leave this post as it is and start another one with the rain update and other things in the garden.

Well, calamity struck.

I never got out to the garden yesterday because I figured it wasn't worth it. I should have watered because it's been dry of course...
