Ditto for weather, short post.

 Closed up before 11 as it was already 87. It is now only 88 but feels like 90 and partly cloudy at 1pm. That means heat is coming in and not dissipating.  Another month at least of this weather with no guarantee of it cooling appreciably. Only cooling is at night and drops 20-30 degrees in the mid to low 60's

I watered well this morning after I checked the soil last night, not much in the way of pictures though, nothing's really changed.

But first, flowers. Much better picture of the pink rose. Using the HDR setting and being overcast and in shade does wonders. The sunflower is being propped up by the cage because the 'stick' that was supporting it broke. I don't have anything else to support it at the moment.

The zinnias are toast. Not going to keep them going any longer. Will be pulling them tonight and not worry about anything else right there until the tomatoes are done.

Between yesterday and today, four more bottom rot tomatoes in the two ground beds. More likely coming. The east bush in the south bed still has four or six nice size tomatoes that are doing just fine. Everything else is failing there and the other bed the west plant is doing okay and the other two are failing. Doldrums of summer are now kicking things to the curb in the garden. I still have the ones in the raised bed that are doing just fine. The cucumbers are still growing good as well but didn't get any pictures, only slightly bigger than yesterday so not worth the upload hassle.

It's an odd overcast today and if it were any other time of year it would be chilly or cooler weather. As it is, too hot and oppressive to be outside. I looked at the temperature for Roseburg Oregon where I've been looking at homes. It's about the same temperatures up there as it is down here but a bit chillier in the winter. 

Aside from all that, not much else to talk about, my mood is rather off today so will cut it here and see what happens tomorrow.
