Again with the post lapse

Beautiful breezy day, not horrendously hot with partial high fluffy clouds. Much better weather to keep the windows open and going for more walks. A little low level smoggy haze though, which I could smell yesterday and see today. Southerly wind from L.A. no doubt.

I realized I had only taken one picture yesterday and thought, why bother. Still looks the same as yesterday, peppers are going okay and yet more gopher mounds.

Phone cameras are so weird. The picture on the right is the true color of the garden, I have no clue why it turns pink in some pictures. Only thing I can think of is the right picture has some of that chair in it which tells the camera that it's bright. I have no clue. I turned the bucket around so the plant is leaning toward the wall as well to see what happens. The fruit are going to be more shaded so maybe they'll develop a little better. That and cooler weather as well may help.

This is what it looked like yesterday so I gave it a good watering and watered the south bed as well, thorough as if I was going to plant. Which I'm not because it's still just dirt.

Still more dirt around the log pile and the south bed today after watering yesterday. Nothing disturbed in the bed that's all my doing but there's that huge hole right at the front. Hoping it's there because it ran into the wire and needed to see what happened. Ya little varmint. I could still feel tunnels at the back when I was digging around the other day and when I was watering there was more of a drum sound there but not at the front where it hadn't been tunneled under. So it's either old tunnels or they are getting along the wall again.

Anyway. I get money next week and it's also my birthday so we will see what happens to try and do more in the garden in the coming month.  Definitely seeing more brown leaves on the ground for sure so I will be tossing those where the bed is going to be but won't be putting any of the logs there until the frame is built and ready for soil.

It's a long waiting game right now.

Well, calamity struck.

I never got out to the garden yesterday because I figured it wasn't worth it. I should have watered because it's been dry of course...
