Going to be another hot one today, luckily I have no plans on using the oven which jacked the temperature in the kitchen/front room to 90. Clear skies, cool breeze/wind and things are looking good in the garden. Brought the nozzle with me to water for sure.
So first thing I did was trim off the large leaf that was shading the radishes. I didn't bring my clippers but had my keychain on me still and used the little knife I have there to cut the majority of the leaf off. Big difference for the radishes for sure.
The coriander is still leaning to the left, almost too much but I chalk that up to the amount of seeds weighing the tops down. The sunflower is standing still and the room in the raised bed is gnawing at me.
As I was watering though, I noticed a new development on the tomato bushes. FRUIT!
Now this is a joyous and a sad discovery because these are determinant tomatoes fruiting means decline of the bush is not far behind. That's okay. Our season may be longer than usual this year and I might be able to plant cucumber or something else to take their place for the 'fall' season. Otherwise known as late summer.
And to round it out, the second leak in the hose (camera reversed direction). Will try and remember to bring the repair tape with me tomorrow.
That's it for today, short but eventful for tomato progress.
