Still cloudy at noon but warm enough for a t-shirt. Northwest weather for sure. I didn't get out yester-evening and therefore didn't water but no great loss. I watered lightly this morning being careful not to get the tomato soil too wet. They have numerous flowers and buds and don't want to jeopardize them aborting.
The lovely lantana still going strong. Tons of flowers on it and wonderful variation from new to old flowers. Then there's this cluster of flowers on the trumpet vine. Those leaves are twice the size of the ones in full sun so that is an excellent example of how shade can affect a plants growth. 'nuf said.
I will call them, The Three Musketeers? Nah, Three Stooges? I don't think the other radishes are going to come up, it's been a week now and no sign of them. I remember them having issues last time so might just get rid of them. Sorry Margaret they just didn't perform for me.
It appears that Roma tomatoes just are a more open and spreading kind of tomato. I don't remember my previous tomato looking like this but it has been over a year and would have to go back through my pictures. But that is also perhaps, the difference between determinate and indeterminate tomatoes.
These pictures turned out better than I thought. I love the one on the right showing not only the hoverfly but that ever so vague lavender color of the coriander flowers and they're in good focus as well!
I'm just loving these flowers and am going to have PLENTY of coriander to grind up. Somehow. Without a food processor or mortar and pestle. Will have to go to the thrift store and see what I can find for baking supplies and appliances.
Then have to find recipes that call for it but that shouldn't be a problem given it's used in some Hispanic recipes.
Trying to use what I have and expand my cooking knowledge and skills. Feeling good about it really.
