Almost forgot to post! A bit of rain at least

After 11pm and finally realized I had not posted today! Geeez! It was cloudy and spritzy today and apparently rained last night. Almost long pants weather today, yay!

Still not much happening in the garden though.

I left one of the small cucumber leaves out overnight and it was eaten of course, which means those guys ate the leaf and not my plant. 632 cousins on the other hand..... And proof it did rain a bit overnight, still water drops on the pepper plant. I am likely going to plant some of the mystery onion seeds in those two pots.

Comparative sizes of the two strawberries. They are loving the weather right now, getting all cool and feeling like spring. That's the curse of our area, spring and fall are basically the same weather for about a month or so and it confuses the heck out of plants.

I want to toss seeds like the sweet peas out in the bed but I have to wait, and I hate waiting and leaving the soil to just sit there. Guess I could toss some fertilizer in and then when I get some soil mix it all up. I posted in the garden group about pulling the last tomato and needing soil. Two people thought I was going to replace the soil entirely. Either I didn't type it clear enough or they jumped to conclusions and had to post, 'Not replacing, adding to what I have' and explained the level difference.

I also basically got chewed out for telling someone to remove any badly tunneled (from leaf miner) citrus leaves because they were new growth anyway. Hooboy did I get the beat down! I had to post my experience in the nursery fifteen years ago and what the citrus experts had told me then and I guess my outdated information based on experience was wrong. I ended with saying I'll keep my experience to myself in the future. So I've limited my responses to thumbs up for certain identifying and things like that.

I wasn't going to give reasons and the scientific reasoning behind it to try to defend myself because it wasn't worth it. The other experts in the group would likely have me banned for misinformation. So I'm just going to be a lurker there and not make anymore waves.

Sigh. Oh someone there suggested getting free mushroom compost from some local farm. I might look into it but would have to buy the right kind of bags to bag it first. Something to look into at least.
