Morning watering and not much else.

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Yippee.

Going to be another warm day though not as blistering as the weekend. Still going to need the AC today though we haven't turned it on yet. Soon though. Very windy in the afternoon now with high wispy clouds so the weather is changing, again. Very, very short post as not much in the way of pictures or garden action happening.

Birthday treats will have to wait and I know there's a big treat coming in a about a week in the way of a free trip to the zoo with a little buddy who gets in free being free kids to the zoo in October. Haven't been there in a few years though it hasn't changed much it is still loads of fun to explore and see with different eyes exploring with me.

What I really could use right now is more soil, despite the seeds only being planted two weeks ago, radishes and carrots should have been up by now. So giving up on those for the season. Need new seeds and soil, my birthday treats and things will be sprinkled through the month no doubt. If I get them.

I watered not just the beds but also the cloth that's shading the cilantro (separately). That empty bed is just so frustrating. Don't know what is more to blame, the seeds or the weather but probably both. Will try again with whatever I have at the end of the month and see what happens in the cooler weather. Our 'cool season' doesn't usually start until November and then only lasts until about March so a very short winter season for us.

As a result of not much happening, not much in the way of pictures or enthusiastic garden information.

I am having fun exploring what the aerial view of our neighborhood and my complex looks like on google maps. I can get an approximate time of day and even the month based on the condition of the trees and what my garden looks like. The images were taken in 2023, based on the sycamores and liquidamber being mostly bare it is winter. My garden shows the raised bed with something in it (resolution is not good up close but probably not) the orange bucket is next to it and there's something in the west in ground bed. Can't see much in the shade but there's a long white line which is the piece of wood along the wall. So it is likely late January or early February since I got the raised bed in late January.

So a bit of high tech sleuthing just to take my mind off other things.

Well, calamity struck.

I never got out to the garden yesterday because I figured it wasn't worth it. I should have watered because it's been dry of course...
