Got up to 85 today but since it literally is a dry heat it is easier to tolerate. If you're in the shade that is. Makes a big difference as always, the air temperature is fine as long as you aren't in direct sun then it feels like an oven. Since I'm still waiting on seedlings to grow and weather to cool, not much to do.
This is how the sun hits the porch area. First picture top left is around 2pm, second one is around 4 and the third is an hour later. This is why I can't put anything but maybe succulents there. The seed pots are doing okay, due to wind I put the onion pots on top of the lids to keep them from flying away and then took them off when it calmed down after the sun went over the building. Hoping it isn't too hot for the seeds, I just don't have anywhere other than inside or in the garden to put them. might have to put them in the shade with the other trays.
I feel guilty sometimes with all my knitting and gardening stuff (and cooking things) then remember that my sweetie collects watches and jewelry, Elvis memorabilia and old music. So I honestly have a lot less than he does. Besides, cooking stuff is useful, gardening stuff provides food and exercise so I'm ahead on that.
Not that I'm keeping score at all. No, honestly I'm not just am justifying what I do so I don't feel guilty. We don't have a lot of room to keep things in the apartment so everything that goes in has to have a place out of the way and/or be useful/used.
I suspect if I had more beds to work with there would be more to do as there would be more rotation and other thigns happening at different times.
I need to write a poem about being an impatient gardener.
