Thankfully was able to connect to google photos so everything is copacetic and connected again yay! It's cloudy today, threatening rain and I have the brief weather widget on my lock screen so I can just tap my phone and there it is. Currently 61 so sweater weather but we're down to only one extra blanket on the bed because it's cloudy, the heat stays trapped overnight.
New phone has three camera lenses for better clarity and different uses (it has a food option and macro!). Still no case for it so I actually fumbled and dropped it on the ground (soft dirt not concrete thankfully). The romaine in the raised be is ecstatic with the weather we're having and had doubled in size I swear!
The potato plants are still getting chewed to bits and then I noticed the back potato was still wilting even worse so I pulled it.
Little spudlings no bigger than a quarter so saved the biggest one and put it on the crate for later. I tossed the plant on the compost bucket. The main stem didn't seem to be compromised, the roots were all growing just fine so not sure what was happening. It was interesting to see how the potatoes were growing right at the tip of the roots. I always thought they branched off. That reminds me I need to take the scrap container down with me next time.
I also dug up the chive in the corner and transplanted it to the other bed. If it doesn't survive not a big deal the other one is thriving.
So more room in that corner and will leave it open unless I want to plant more carrots or something. I think I have enough radishes at the moment.
Unfortunately while trying to pile soil around the potato in the west bed I may have mowed down a seedling of some sort. Oh well. I saw it in one photo but then looked around today and it wasn't there. Oops.
Little tiny potato sprout up there in the left photo. I suspect it was a root spud that just decided to go crazy. I didn't feel like digging around the other potatoes to see what was there, it's going to be sunny and warmer on the weekend so that's a good time to do that. The peas are all just going to town as well. When I saw how big the romaine was I was tempted to cut/break off a few leaves to bring upstairs but held off on that as well.So that's all folks. Drama is done finally and moving forward again in a 21st century manner.
