Almost didn't post

Had a complete cluster F with the electric company this morning when the shut off my power by mistake. It was restored and arrangements made for payment, long story not for this blog.

Weather was gorgeous as it has been, even had to water a little considering there wasn't a lot of rain the other day.

The Liquidambars are in full spring swing with new flower buds on the branches. Sky was clear but a bit hazy all around. Oh and I figured out what those little seedlings were... pulled one, crushed it and it smelled like those trees so definitely not anything I planted.

Two tomatoes have sprouted! Wooo! I knew they would be up before the peppers for sure. All they needed was the kick in the roots of sunshine and a little rain.

More cilantro and radishes. Radish plants are prickly! Will have to keep a pair of scissors, a knife and my glove on me every day now. I broke/tore off the cilantro stems, they were all the central stem that's thicker so hard to break off. Didn't get a chance to go back down and cut them due to phone call.

Little bit of orange showing on some of the carrots woohoo! You can tell by the shadows how early it is, a bit before 11 so long easterly shadows. Watered pretty good and checked the carrots and all that. Munched on a few pea pods and encouraged the sweet peas to keep growing.

Almost ready to yank that potato with the way it's looking. I'm sure there's a few good size ones down there. Same with the romaine in the other bed, need to bring my knife with me tomorrow and cut that down, will put it in a bag with foil on the cut end and leave it on the table. I'm sure someone will take it, I still have the other two in the fridge, wilting.

I did slice up the radishes and romaine for salad tonight though. Can't wait for the tomatoes this summer and maybe another cucumber, the squash and peppers... yay!

Just made myself hungry.

Well, calamity struck.

I never got out to the garden yesterday because I figured it wasn't worth it. I should have watered because it's been dry of course...
