And with death, there is life

Weather is still wonderful, overcast in the morning, clearing by midday and repeated. I went on a small outing to a different library nearby to pick up two knitting books and it was right next to one of my favorite walking parks.

Cleveland Sage was in full bloom, didn't hear or see bees but  I couldn't stop for long on my walk back to the car.  The park is along a branch of the San Diego river so they have made a point of planting and nurturing natives over other plants. That sage bush is close to six or more feet across and about four feet tall. That wasn't the only one either and then the filed of wild mustard which was also being visited by various butterflies and likely some bees.

The celery is poking through the soil! Makes me extremely happy and hope it continues to grow quickly. That dirt isn't ideal and have to remember to keep it watered. The strawberry has a flower!!!! Technically it should not fruit given how small the plant is but you know how that goes. I brought the two pots I seeded yesterday down to the sunshine as I said and the peppers are finally starting to pop. I really need to find a better pot for that rose.

And even the caulflower is blooming!!! Huzzah for success! (The stems you see are from the handful of sweet peas I had picked). I need to fold the leaves over the center to keep it blanched before it gets too big. The epi is going to be blooming again and likely will have a bloom every week or so for the next month. So many buds on that plant!

So another waiting time now, two pots of seeds and the fish peppers are still poking along. Days are warm, nights are cool and it's good weather for everything so far. Glad I was given that particular variety of cauliflower that can tolerate this sort of weather.

Short post today, not much in the way of pictures and developments..... stay tuned true believers!

Well, calamity struck.

I never got out to the garden yesterday because I figured it wasn't worth it. I should have watered because it's been dry of course...
