Pleasant weather for gardening

Warm temperatures that advise wearing shorts today and over the weekend, watering was done yesterday and a lizard sighting. Overall, coasting along until the tomatoes are ready and the peppers start growing a bit faster.
Lemon bush is blooming and that cluster is right next to the walkway. Much shortened original hose is left there when the other lady uses it hoping to keep the mud off the main walkway but not very successful. Wondering if it's worth the hassle and cost to get a bag or two of gravel to put down in that area. It's rather dangerous trying to avoid stepping in the mud and avoiding the hose. Two bags of small or medium gravel would improve the walk way immensely.

I pulled the other garlic since it was mostly brown leaves, it's a bit bigger and more complete than the first one. I left it under the cloth to dry and 'cure' (I guess?). Should have rinsed it off of course but oh well.

Back end of a good size Alligator lizard that Rocky had found in the grass somehow. I was looking at something else then noticed he was crouched in the grass like he was protecting something. Got up close and sow this fella, about six inches long but a third of the tail was gone but regrowing. Rocky was not happy that I took it away from him and placed it under a bush to recover.

The oregano is showing definite signs of flower clusters along the stem which means it is Greek Oregano.  That debate settled now and will let it flower for the insects then cut it back and dry the stems again.

Tomatoes will be ready by the end of the month, still nothing from the Thorburn's seeds and have been keeping the plastic on them overnight and taking it off during the day. Keeping them well hydrated and warm for sure. Tomatoes in the picture are about 2/3 size of mature tomatoes, some hint of coloring on small ones that are more in the sun but not even close to being ready. Lots of room in that bed and the west bed for planting something but that raised bed I suspect will be overtaken by the squash most likely. No vines showing yet which is interesting, large clusters of leaf buds in the center but no extended branches. I check them every day to make sure they aren't flowers.

So that's it for now, not quite the doldrums of summer so it's late spring/early summer weather. Gonna be another hot one this  year.

Watering was done... it's still hot

Not ragingly hot but hot enough for the AC middle of the day to sunset. Still debating on ripping everything but the oregano out for now. Y...
