It is clear, cool and a few spotty clouds here and there but sunny. Go figure. Well it rained pretty hard last night starting around 8pm and reached a peak at 10. So garden is thoroughly watered and other than the cilantro kind of pelted, everything is good.

I suppose it's almost time to start planting another tomato and maybe some pepper seeds. If the cilantro doesn't start kicking into high gear soon I just might. I was at a small hardware store today and almost picked up a packet of Alyssum and lettuce seeds, I put them back though because I am done with the seed thing for now. Until the other seeds start coming up and start growing.
The south bed is going to be the last to get sun and honestly putting in some lettuce might be the thing to do over there. When it gets sunny I can pull those out and put in maybe a cucumber? I'll eat cucumbers more than zucchini and I can try to make a trellis for it. Who knows.
The hardware store also had some kitchen compost bins, little countertop things and I thought about getting one then realized we don't eat enough veggies right now to justify it. The only thing I would actually consider is an outdoor composter for the garden corner to make it look less messy and more efficient.
One thing that makes me smile in the winter is the most tropical and common plant around. It's still blooming its branches off and in fantastic color.
The blue/purple is a lot more vibrant in person but with the rain it washed everything off and it's a wonderful show!
So other than that, this weather makes me want to go for a walk in a park with a small stream and shady spots along the way. I could walk a mile and not even notice!
