Warm, clear and sunny! Water was needed.

Today is the warmest it's going to be for the next week and a half. Mid 70's today and from here on out it's going to drop to mid 50's to 60's with rain still predicted day after tomorrow. I had to water, soil was dry down about a half inch or more in the bed. Still tortured by allergy symptoms, medicine helped a bit when I was sleeping but not all symptoms are gone. Bleh.

Obviously the lettuce bed was still damp so the only ones that needed water were the sunny ones. These are before pictures and in hindsight I noticed the spot where the water drips off the roof right in front of the compost bucket. Should probably put some rocks or something there because that's a collection point. Maybe dig a channel but it drains off pretty well so will see what happens.

You can see a puddle in that spot from me washing off the sides of the bed, will have to collect some rocks to put there because I don't have any coarse gravel to fill it in. I have so many tomato seeds planted and so little space. I could only fit maybe two in the raised bed. Maybe. eventually. Can fit at least two in the north bed. That leaves at least three or four more pellets with seeds in them. I think one of them was starting to sprout already. I bet they'd go a bit faster if I put them out on the front porch.

And just like that I remembered the strawberry container I had saved but it wasn't big enough for everything. Also it has a lot of slots in it for air which means... can't leave them out for very long. I'll have to give them some water out on the porch or in the sink before bringing them back inside. There's approximately 24 seeds in those. I won't be separating them and plant twins and triplets together.

No shelf to put them on yet and if it gets windy, wheee! Off the patio they'll go. Technically supposed to use the trays for them but that still needs someplace to put them. Tempted to just drop them into the ground as is even though they need to be much bigger before that. One seed, maybe two are actually sprouting so it's only a matter of a week or so before they're all up and growing. I hope.

Off I go to do some other computer stuff but will enjoy the weather and temps while they last.

Well, calamity struck.

I never got out to the garden yesterday because I figured it wasn't worth it. I should have watered because it's been dry of course...
