It never really cooled down enough inside last night so did not sleep well. Turned the AC on this morning before 10 and sat in my bed in the cool. As a result I didn't get out to water until after noon. Not good for the plants but any water is better than none. We're supposed to get a tropical storm in a week from a hurricane coming up the coast from Mexico. Everyone wash your cars and water your gardens! It's now very windy and partly cloudy but the actual storm isn't showing to make landfall until next week.
Not much to report again and thus not very many pictures.Too hot to do much of anything for very long outside so I forgot to even take pictures this morning.
The parrots are back to their twice daily migrations now, the doves of both types are being heard and even heard the hawks the other day. As I looked out the window just now I saw a dragonfly drift by. There's a drainage/flood channel down the street that always has some water in it though nothing very deep or fast moving. Run off from people's gardens no doubt, but that is the only 'wild' water in the neighborhood. Which also means that is where mosquitos and the mayflies are coming from.
So that's basically it for today. Wind has died down at the moment, clouds are still moving across the sky from the north but could have sworn a moment ago they were going east to west. No matter, here's hoping we get some actual rain soon.
