Hazy, streaky high clouds, 'Mare's Tails' as they used to call them. So the sun is warm but not full power. It got down to 60 in my kitchen this morning so it was very likely in the low 40's outside again. Not complaining, other than it makes me stay in bed longer to keep warm.
Ah, fall in Southern California, Bougainvillea and brown leaves. Large pile of leaves not completely all blown together but it blocked our usual route to the other grass area. Rocky will not go through piles of leaves.
You can see that the pile is actually taller than he is and he's a pretty good size cat. Bonus though, his favorite tree was cleared so he could stretch a bit.
I had three onions that were ready to go, the fourth one ended up sideways in the water and had rotted. Three is good and better than nothing. Planted them in front of the potatoes which is likely a bit too close given how big those spud plants get. Oh well, they'll do fine.
Stupid phone. Same bed but different angle I tried to adjust the coloring in the right one to no avail. I planted more carrot seeds along the back side of the west bed and now in retrospective I should have put the remainder of the cilantro seeds there and the carrots in the raised bed. The potato does not look good. I ran a line of the remaining cilantro seeds on the east side of the raised bed really close to the wall. Which again in retrospect, will not get any sun. I am not too bright sometimes and it shows. I at least watered though and in all fairness, the picture on the left was taken after I watered.
All gardening, well planned or chaotic and full of mistakes is all still gardening. Not what you planned sometimes, but if it grows, it's a success. Rarely ever going to be 100% success and that's what happens when you are dealing with nature.
