Same weather/garden different day

Weather is gradually getting warmer and warmer, still breezy in the afternoon and overcast in the morning and evening. It's actually one of the best times of year here for the weather supposed to get into the high 70's and maybe 80's today and tomorrow.  I may be able to get that bag of soil I need this week despite cutting into funds that could be used for food and stuff. It's $10 for a bag of soil and that won't buy much in the store right? I won't get any more money for three weeks This predicament is brought on because I needed to pay $100 to the electric bill.

So anyway, back in the garden....someone decided to cut that Tiffany rose for themselves. Our downstairs neighbor was walking up behind me when I brought Rocky down and she had clippers in her hand. I didn't accuse her but mentioned it and she said, 'oh I'm just taking the old flowers off I didn't cut that'. She's a nice lady and we're on friendly terms, she has no reason to lie about doing that.

At least there's a lot of buds on the bush so plenty more to go. Besides, it's Mother's Day so someone was worth the rose.

Layla's cilantro and mine flowering. They will likely be in seed by the time she comes back and I still have seed other than what's going to come off those plants.

It looks a bit dry but I watered yesterday, or was it the day before? I'll try and check it this evening to see if it needs it.

The onions have only two leaves and a flower stalk, I decided to pull the smaller onion at the back and cut the flower stalks to use. Hopefully that will give them some energy to make more leaves and get a bit bigger.

That hole on the left is new, I made the hole on the right seeing if an originally small hole was recent. Good luck getting through my barriers ya conniving rodent! Muahahahahah! Gloating is bad, brings on the garden karma. The other onions are surviving, that soil is toasty on top so I may have to use some of that mulch I still have and cover that up after I chew up the soil and water it well.

The tomato is now above the second rung on the trellis. I gently tucked it under so it's going to weave back and forth as much as I can. As soon as the peas are done, will see if I have any tomatoes left and put one toward the middle. This is the issue with our weather and starting seeds indoors when they can be done outdoors. Growing peas (typically cooler weather plant) still going along with tomatoes (warm weather plant). If I had gotten two extra bags when someone else was paying for it, things would be a lot more peachy keen right now I think.

The peppers look a little wilty because I just pulled them out of the kitchen window. They were getting direct sun right through standard glass that kind of amplifies the intensity. About the only thing you can put in the window that won't get toasted is cactus or succulents. Not my kind of plant to grow indoors.

So that is all the peppers I planted. Two seeds in four pellets and all of them are thriving so that means I will be planting all four...somewhere. I still don't remember whether they were green or red peppers but then, if you leave a green pepper on long enough, it'll be a red pepper right? I got some free yellow bell peppers the other day and will be saving some of those seeds as well when I use the peppers.

Wonderful fragrant breeze from the window the mist is rolling in now as it will and there will be full cloud cover in about an hour. Sunshine for most of the day is still enough for the plants to grow and warm things up. Looking back through my old posts from a year ago it's the same pattern all the way to mid-June. Crossing my fingers I get that soil and can actually do some productive work in the garden this week.
